How to delete a locked file or folder in Windows

Sometimes we cannot delete a file or folder in Windows. This generally happens when that file/folder is locked by a program or programs in windows. So when we try to delete that file/folder we get the following message “Cannot delete folder. It is being used by another person or program”. In such cases we can use a small program called Unlocker that can unlock the dependencies of that file or folder on other programs and after that you can safely delete it from the disk.

Unlocker is very easy to use, just install the program and right click on the file or folder that you want to unlock and click unlocker from the menu. After that it will give you the list of programs locking that file/folder, then you have to select unlock all option to unlock that folder or file.
